Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels – Terms and Conditions 

Open hours are 8 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 6 pm 7 days a week. 

We are closed on Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.

– Proof of current Vaccination is required at the time of check in.

– All dogs must be fully Vaccinated, against Parvovirus, Hepatitis and Distemper PLUS Kennel Cough; A minimum of 10 days prior to their stay.

– All dogs must have been treated for fleas and worms before entering the kennels.

– The business and the staff of Lucky Dog Boarding kennels undertake to treat all pets with the utmost care and respect. We are committed to the health, welfare, well-being and happiness of our guests. 

– While the business and its employees will take all reasonable care with respect to hygiene procedures, they cannot  be held responsible for afflictions and costs associated with any infectious diseases including kennel cough or parasites such as fleas and worms.

– While the business and its employees will take all reasonable care, the owner of a dog will be held totally and solely responsible for any injury or death caused to another dog or person (including all veterinary or medical costs), or any damage caused to the accessories of another pet, while that dog is within the premises of Lucky Dog Boarding kennels.

– Female dogs will NOT be boarded while “in season” without prior discussion and with the agreement from staff. If they are boarded there will be a $6 per day surcharge.

– Entire males over 12 months will incur a $6 per day surcharge.

– I have provided all information concerning pre-existing conditions/special problems or behavior of my pets and special diets, allergies or medications that may pose a risk to my pet or others. I have notified staff if my dog(s) climbs fences of 2.4 meters. 

– I acknowledge that while the business and its employees will take all reasonable care, they cannot be held responsible for injury, death, loss or damage of any kind that may occur to either my animals or their accessories (e.g. leads, toys, bedding)

– In the event that an animal is observed to be unwell or becomes injured, I give the business and their employees authority to seek and respond to, at my expense, any and all veterinary attention deemed necessary, including transport costs. Transport cost of $35 will be charged.

– I agree that in the event of arrears, the business shall have the right to rehome my pets, and this shall not release me from liability for any unpaid fees or charges. 

– Abandoned pets are re-home as the business sees fit, after 10 days of the due pick-up date if the owner has NOT contacted Lucky Dog Boarding kennels.

– Unless agreed otherwise, I understand my dog will be included in supervised play groups during his/her stay at Lucky Dog Boarding kennels.

– Unless agreed otherwise, whilst at Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels, I understand my pet may be photographed and I give permission for him/her to appear on the Lucky Dog Boarding kennels website/Facebook account.

– Boarding charges are per calendar day irrespective of drop-off or pick-up times. Please be advised that a 2-day minimum charge applies for all dog/s boarding.

– Returning earlier:  Should I decide to pick my pet up earlier than stated I understand no refund will be given

– Surcharges, an additional $6.00 per dog per day will be charged for dog: 

     – Unable to socialize with other dogs 

     – Un-neutered/speyed (see above for Entire males )

    – Public Holidays 

**Cancellation Policy – Deposits and payments: 

– We understand that plans change and we will do our best to accommodate these for you with your booking. Please be aware, however, that we have committed to taking your dog for the full duration of your booking and late cancellations or changes mean we are unable to offer your space to someone else.

– All boarding fees during peak holiday periods are subject to a 30% deposit payable at the time of making a booking. 

– Deposits will be refunded in full if the booking is canceled 4 weeks prior to the boarding start date. 

 -For bookings cancellations up to 2 weeks prior to the boarding start date, a 50% refund of the deposit will apply. 

– We are unable to provide a refund for any bookings canceled less than 2 weeks prior to the boarding start date.

 -Peak holiday periods include all public holiday long weekends, the two-week school holidays between school terms throughout the year, and the Christmas / New Year period – approximately 20th December to 20th January.

– Peak holiday deposits are required to be paid 6 weeks prior to your booking, or the booking will be forfeited.

– The balance of payment for the booking is due as your pet is dropped off during these periods. 

– We can be more flexible at other times of the year but when we are fully booked during peak holiday periods we are totally committed.

– Unused days during holiday periods will be charged.

– If unsure about which days this applies to, please seek confirmation when making a booking.

– All fees and charges are to be paid in full before my pet will be released.
