Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels – Terms and Conditions 

Open hours are 8 am to 10 am and 4 pm to 6 pm 7 days a week. 

Reception is closed on Easter Sunday, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day, pick up and drop off will need to be the day before or after.

1. Health and Vaccinations
  -Up-to-date vaccinations (including yearly booster shots)
  -Proof of vaccination records (vet book, print out or email from vet)
  -Current flea and worm treatments
  Please ensure your dog’s vaccinations are current and will not expire during    their stay. If a booster is due, please arrange for it to be administered before    arrival.

2. Medical and Behavioural Disclosure
  It is essential that owners disclose their dog’s complete medical and       behavioural history to ensure their safety and well-being during their stay.   Please inform us of any pre-existing conditions, allergies, fears, or   behavioural issues.

3. Liability and Responsibility
  By boarding your dog with Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels, you acknowledge     that we are not liable for:
  Injuries, illnesses, or death resulting from attendance
  Veterinary costs associated with any medical treatment required during or     after their stay
– Owners are responsible for:
  All veterinary costs incurred during or after their dog’s stay
  Any damage caused to property by their dog
  Please note that we take every precaution to ensure your dog’s safety and     well-being.

4. Veterinary Care
  In the event of illness or injury, Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels reserves the   right to seek immediate veterinary attention at the owner’s expense. This   includes: Veterinary treatment costs, Transport costs of $40 per trip Our   preferred veterinary clinic is Paws Veterinary Clinic. However, if a local vet is   required, we will endeavour to use your regular vet wherever possible.

5. Property Damage
  Owners are responsible for damage caused by their dog(s) to Lucky Dog     Boarding Kennels’ property.

6. Food Treats and Allergies
  To ensure your pet’s safety and comfort:
  Please inform us of any food allergies or sensitivities, as we use treats in our   care.

– Daycare: We do not provide meals, unless supplied by owners.

– Boarding: Unless your pet has specific veterinary-prescribed dietary needs      or requires a raw diet, we provide premium Royal Canin food.
  If you prefer to supply your own food, please bring enough for the duration   of their stay, plus a few extra days

7. Photography and Videography
  Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels may take pictures and videos for marketing or    educational purposes.

8. Indemnity
  By using Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels’ services, owners agree to indemnify   and hold harmless:
  Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels.
  Its directors, shareholders, employees, and contractors.
  Against any and all liability, claims, suits, actions, loss, injury, or damage of   any nature or kind, including but not limited to: Any liability, claims, suits,   actions, loss, injury, or damage sustained by your dog(s)
  Any liability, claims, suits, actions, loss, injury, or damage caused by your   dog(s) to others.
  This indemnity agreement applies to all services provided by Lucky Dog   Boarding Kennels.
 This indemnity shall survive the termination of services and does not limit     any other rights or remedies available to Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels.

9. Abandoned Pets
  If your pet is not collected within 10 days of the scheduled pick-up date, we   reserve the right to consider them abandoned. In such cases, we may     rehome your pet to ensure their continued care and well-being.
  Please note that every effort will be made to contact owners before taking   such action. It is essential to keep us informed of any changes to your pick-  up schedule.

10. Female Dogs in Season
  Please note that female dogs in season will not be accepted for boarding   without prior discussion and approval from our staff. If approved, a $10 per   day surcharge will apply.

11. Entire Males 12 months and older
    Will incur a $10/day surcharge.

12. Public Holiday Surcharge
   $8/dog surcharge applies on public holidays.

13. Dogs Unable to socialize with other dogs
   Dogs that are unable to socialize with other dogs will incur a $10 per day   surcharge.
  Please note that during peak periods, we have limited capacity for dogs   requiring specialized care.

14. Holiday Boarding Period Deposit and Cancellation Policy
   30% deposit required for holiday period bookings at time of booking.
  Christmas and New Year deposits due no later than 1st October.
  – Refunds Or Credit to account:
  – 4 weeks or more notice full refund / credit of deposit
  – 2 to 4 weeks notice 50% of deposit refund / credit.
  – 14 days or less notice no refund / credit.

15. Outside Holiday Periods Cancellation and refund Policy
  – Daycare: More than 24 hours notice given – no fee charged.
  Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice – incur full daycare fee, must be   paid before or on morning of the next daycare day or no stay.
  No Shows full payment due before next booking.
  – Boarding: 48 hours’ or less notice and no-shows: Full boarding fee will be     charged

16. Recurring Cancellations and No-Shows:
  Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels reserves the right to charge a $35   administrative fee for recurring cancellations or no-shows. This fee will be   applied in addition to the original booking amount.
  This must be paid in full prior to the next scheduled booking.

17. Changes to Bookings and Returning Early
  No refunds for early pick-ups without prior staff approval (obtained before   drop-off). Full booking fee applies if prior approval is not granted. We’ll   accommodate changes where possible. Late cancellations(changes may incur   full booking fees if we cannot offer the space to another client. Your   understanding and cooperation are appreciated.

18. Payment Terms
   New clients: Payment in full before or on drop-off
  Payment in full before pet release, unless otherwise agreed upon
  Accepted payment methods: Stripe, Eftpos, Internet banking, Cash.

19. Price Changes
  Please note that our prices are subject to change with a minimum of 2     weeks’ notice.

20. Debt Collection and Late Payment Interest:
   In the event of overdue payments, Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels reserves the   right to:
  Transfer your data to a third-party debt collection agency for the purpose of   recovering outstanding debts.
  On-charge any costs incurred during debt recovery, including external   agency fees.
– Late Payment Interest:
  Late payment interest will be applied to accounts 30 days overdue, at a rate   of 2% per month, calculated daily, until payment is received in full.   Acknowledgement: By using our services, you acknowledge and agree to   these debt collection terms.

21. Alteration of Terms
  Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels reserve the right to alter these Terms and   Conditions with 14 days’ notice.

22. Risk
   Owners enter Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels’ premises at their own risk.   Owners release Lucky Dog Boarding Kennels from liability for any injuries or   damages. Your pets are boarded at your own risk.

23. Governing Law
  The Agreement and these Terms and Conditions will be deemed to be     made in New Zealand and will be construed and governed by the laws of     New Zealand.
